Effectiveness of research and innovation management at policy and institutional levels, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam

The final report of a project on effectiveness of research and innovation management at policy and institutional management in four countries (Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam). The report describes the emerging landscape in research and innovation management. The author provides a typology of knowledge and skills requirements for effective research and innovation management. They then provide empirical accounts of the research management capacity of Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. The gaps in knowledge and skills are summarised. The author then provides an overview of actors providing training in research management and in research and innovation policies.
