A survey on basic water and sanitation facilities in eight target provinces of WaterSHED in Cambodia

This statistical report presents the detail accounts on the situations of the access to latrines in Battambang, Kampong Cham, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Speu, Kampong Thom, Tboung Khmum, Pailin and Takeo, where WaterSHED has implemented its sanitation and hygiene projects. The data was collected from 5,801 villages in 527 communes across 58 districts in these eight provinces. As of 2014, the access to latrines in the districts was reportedly low, presenting only 41.1% in overall. The report also underlines that urban centers and market places had a significant higher latrine coverage compared to the rest of the country.
