Mekong-Lancang nations collectively fight fake news
Mekong-Lancang nations are cooperating well to fight fake news in the region, according to the National secretariat of Cambodia for Mekong-Lancang Cooperation.
“Mekong-Lancang nations have been sharing information with each other to prevent fake news in the region, especially in the context of the spread of the Covid-19 virus”, said Foreign Affairs Ministry secretary of state Sok Soken, who is also vice chairman of the secretariat.
At the opening ceremony of a seminar on the harmful effects and government actions in dealing with fake news held in Siem Reap on Friday, Soken also expressed his confidence that the Ministry of Information and the Cambodian media will continue to disseminatie true information to the community to neutralise any fake news that may affect social development in the Kingdom and region.
