EarthRights International seeks Storytelling Intern

Title:             Human Rights Storytelling Intern Start Date:    June 15, 2015 Location:       Chiang Mai, Thailand EarthRights International is seeking an intern to work full time for three months to assist in the production of creative content in the Southeast Asia office.  The purpose of the internship will be to reinforce the Human Rights Storyteller with the photography, video, and social media that documents, supports and celebrates the work of our training, legal, and campaigns programs.  The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, dedication to working in human and environmental rights, desire to improve visual storytelling skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a creative and multi-cultural  team. Job Responsibilities:
  • Improve and maintain photo sharing and archiving system
  • Assist in development of visual story telling curriculum to ensure workshops for students and alumni include most recent and efficient practices of recording and distributing photo and video content
  • Help build organizational relationships with video for advocacy NGO’s in the region
Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience producing high quality photo and video content using dSLR cameras and secondary sound sources
  • Proficiency in Final Cut Pro, Capture One Pro, Adobe Premier, Lightroom, Bridge, and Photoshop
  • Creative and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced English language skills, Thai or Burmese language proficiency a plus
