ICAW 2016: Second international conference on ASEAN women

To promote, facilitate and support the implementation of gender mainstreaming throughout the ASEAN countries, this conference was initiated to create awareness of the benefits to programme outcomes of incorporating gender perspectives into work programmes throughout the ASEAN countries. The objective is not to “do” gender mainstreaming but to stimulate all entities within the ASEAN countries to take gender perspectives into account in both governments and non-governmental work programmes.
