Cambodia does the right thing for humanitarian needs, Murphy says

US Ambassador to Cambodia, Patrick Murphy said the Cambodian government did the right thing for  humanitarian needs by allowing MS Westerdam to be anchored in Sihanoukville and passengers to disembark.

Mr Murphy today visited MS Westerdam which is docked in Sihanoukville Autonomous Port in Preah Sihanouk province, to welcome US passengers after medical tests showed that none of them were infected with COVID-19, or commonly known as coronavirus.

“It is very touching for  me to see all of the passengers and  crew on this vessel who are being warmly welcomed by the people of Cambodia,” Mr Murphy said.
