NA to hold first ordinary session next week

The national socio-economic development plan, state budget, monetary policy, audit results, the work of prosecutors and judges and legislation approval will all be on the agenda of the upcoming first ordinary session of the National Assembly’s ‘s Eighth Legislature. Head of the NA Secretariat Ms Suansavanh Vignaket gave a press conference on October 19 to brief the media on the agenda for the session, which will start on October 17 and run until November 18. The session will begin with a government report on the implementation of the NSEDP, the state budget and monetary policy for the 2015-16 fiscal year, which will be considered for approval. Plans and policy for next year will also be reported on. The session will also hear a report on the amended state budget for the next four years from 2017-2020, and consider the Government Inspection Authority’s report on the results of the audits of financial activities in fiscal year 2013-14.
