Plastic-free zone campaign at Mt Zwe Ka Bin
The first plastic-free zone campaign will be held at Mount Zwe Ka Bin from March 11 to 14. The campaign, which will be held simultaneously with the Tabaung festival in Kayin State, will involve about 350 volunteers from various organisations, including the Hpa-an Students Union, student organisations and the Hpa-an National League for Democracy. The campaign will be held at the mountain and foothill areas of Zwe Ka Bin. Residents from about 20 villages situated near the Zwe Ka Bin mountain will collaborate with campaign volunteers on the last day of Tabaung festival, said Sophia Naing, representative of the Zwe Ka Bin Plastic-free Zone Initiative.
