President inspects Biluchaung Hydro-power Plant 2 in Kayah State

President U Htin Kyaw, together with Union Ministers U Than Myint, U Thein Swe and U Pe Zin Tun and Deputy Minister Maj-Gen Than Htut, visited Loikaw in Kayah State on November 3 and met with local officials, entrepreneurs, farmers and residents in Linphonlay Village. The president said that he was visiting the region to help local corn farmers as he had heard their difficulties and promised to help them in coordination with related ministries. Then, the president pointed out that cooperation by the government, government agencies and the people is essential in building a nation and urged entrepreneurs, who the president said play a vital role, to work in the interests of the people. Afterwards, the president heard the difficulties of the local people, who reported to the president on market stability, the need for export assistance, land title and life security of farmers, release of confiscated farmland, job opportunities, reforestation and narcotic drugs.
