Strong winds flatten houses in Rakhine State
Several properties in Yoke Chaung village in Mrauk-U township, Rakhine State, were destroyed and damaged by strong winds on the morning of March 13. Mrauk-U fire department chief U San Tun said two houses, a chicken farm and a granary were destroyed while 21 other houses lost their roofs in Yoke Chaung in the Htatewa Pyin village tract. Villagers said the strong winds came suddenly and lasted only 10 minutes.
