US promises to strengthen Myanmar’s anti-narcotics and security campaigns

The United States on Tuesday declared it will help strengthen Myanmar’s anti-illegal drugs campaign and boost the country’s law and order efforts to provide more security for its citizens, a US Embassy statement said.
“The United States is committed to assist the Myanmar government in protecting and serving its citizens,” according to the statement which was released after the US Ambassador Scot Marciel met acting Police Chief Brigadier General Aung Win Oo in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
