Vientiane still has a huge potential for businesses and investment since Laos is being integrated with South East Asian Nations, according to economists. However, economists recommended that infrastructure development including roads, water and electricity supply are crucial for facilitating and attracting more entrepreneurs to the nation. Dr Mana Southichak is an independent economist who has undertaken extensive research for the government, international organisations and private companies. I agree with the government building roads to link the city centre with different parts of the capital in a move to minimise traffic congestion and encourage more entrepreneurs to do businesses in the suburbs, he said.
