Beijing promotes ‘inclusive’ soft power in new Mekong scheme
China planned to utilise the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) as a driving force to build a community in the Mekong basin, while making clear that the LMC would not replace other cooperative schemes in the region, a senior Chinese official said yesterday.
