Cambodian groups aim to end violence against women

A worldwide, 16-day campaign to end violence against women kicked off in Cambodia on 25 November, with NGOs, the United Nations and government agencies intensifying their efforts toward preventative measures.

Spanning from the International Day for Eliminating Violence against Women and Girls until Human Rights Day on 10 December, the “16 Days of Activism to End Gender-Based Violence” is co-sponsored by UN Women and the Ministry of Women’s Affairs in what the former calls a national public stand against abuse.
