Int’l hydro conference highlights need for sustainability
The Lao government is hosting the sixth International Conference and Exhibition on Water Resources and Hydropower Development in Asia, aiming to promote the balance of the role of hydropower in the world and highlight challenges.
The three-day event runs from March 1-3 in Vientiane. It gathers more than 650 experts, advisers and suppliers from some 40 countries to share their experiences in the sustainable development of hydropower resources and water resource management.
The meeting will discuss all aspects of water resources development of particular relevance to the Asian region and represent major utilities, hydro plant developers, consulting practices and manufacturing companies, as well as financial and environmental specialists.
