Lao, Cambodian PMs vow mutual support, enhanced security cooperation

Visiting Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith and his Cambodian counterpart Samdech Hun Sen on Wednesday agreed that Laos and Cambodia would continue to extend mutual support and assistance to drive the two nations’ development. The two premiers met during Mr Thongloun’s visit to Cambodia to attend the World Economic Forum in Phnom Penh from May 10-12, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release. “Both sides are pleased to continue extending mutual support and assistance in various fields in order to attract international assistance contributing to socio-economic development,” the ministry said. The two leaders noted the progress made on border demarcation, which is largely complete. They encouraged the officials in charge to exert every effort to complete demarcation along the remaining borderline.
