Migrant workers rescued from Thai lockup

Thai police have rescued 65 Cambodians, including five children, from a two-story shop house near Rong Kluea market in Sakeo province where they had been locked up for three days. Local media reported the group of 37 Cambodian men, 23 women and five children had entered Thailand illegally without travel documents.
They had been locked in the house as they waited for job brokers to take them to work in Bangkok and Samut Prakan province. Thai police were alerted to the case by informants. After investigating the shop house, they cut the lock on the front door and found the Cambodians inside.
