NA ordinary session opens to debate socio-economic performance, law making

The third ordinary session of the National Assembly kicked off on April 25 in Vientiane to review the government’s performance over the past six months, future work plans, socio-economic development plan implementation for 2016 and 2017 and law making. President of the NA, Ms Pany Yathotou declared the session that will run until May 18 open, giving the floor to Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith and his cabinet members to present reports under their scope of responsibilities. President Mr Bounnhang Vorachit, PM Thongloun, cabinet members and members of the parliament were present at the opening ceremony, which was televised through the Lao National Television channel.
