NPT low-cost housing project to open in May

The Ministry of Construction is going to open the Shwe Nant Thar low-cost housing project, which will give priority to government employees, in Nay Pyi Taw in coming May, according to Permanent Secretary of that ministry U Kyaw Lin at the press conference for one-year performance of the new government on April 10. The MOC constructed two low-cost buildings in Shwe Nant Thar ward, Ottarathiri township, Nay Pyi Taw at a cost of less than K10 million per unit as a pilot project under a 100-day program. There are 80 housing units in those two buildings, which will be opened in May, said U Kyaw Lin. Those low-cost housing buildings were aimed as models for even the lowest rankers among government employees to afford.
