PM invokes Section 44 to ease exodus of migrant workers from tough labour law
Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha today invoked Section 44 of the interim Constitution to delay the enforcement of some tough provisions in the new law on alien workers until January 1 next year.
The decision to invoke Section 44 was made at the joint meeting of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) and the Cabinet chaired by Gen Prayut.
