Thais deport more than 300

More than 300 undocumented Cambodian migrant workers were deported from Thailand on Tuesday afternoon through the Daung International Checkpoint in Battambang province, according to local media. While border officials and police in the area were tight-lipped, a stringer for Koh Santepheap Daily who asked not to be named said he was given the information from a military police official who he declined to name. “The official sent the report and picture to me, but he is not in immigration,” he said. “If we ask them more, they won’t answer. They only do the report for their superiors. He is a military police official.” The report said 315 undocumented migrant workers, 147 of whom were female, were sent back through the Daung checkpoint from different Thai provinces.
