Tourism agencies urged to plan for Visit Laos Year 2018
In anticipation of 2018 being a Visit Laos Year, the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Prof. Dr Bosengkham Vongdara has called on all tourism agencies to urgently prepare activities for inclusion in the programme. Prof. Dr Bosengkham made the call at this week meeting on information, culture and tourism, which was attended by representatives from these sectors across the country. The promotion of Visit Laos Year is expected to begin in earnest this year, so all the entities involved are urged to make plans by coordinating with the relevant ministry departments. A timetable of events for each month of the year in every province should be clearly determined, including every activity, the minister said. He urged every sector to do its best and to be well prepared for this important event. Provincial authorities were asked to seek advice from the relevant ministry department if necessary.
