Open Development Cambodia has published a new online resource detailing Cambodia’s fisheries conservation areas in both Khmer and English. Together with the website’s map explorer tool, the profile page aims to provide the up-to-date information on the country’s “community fishery, fish sanctuary, and flooded forest,” and presents a clear picture using data visualizations.

The Fisheries Conservation Areas (FCA) profile page present current statuses of fisheries conservation areas, from March 2011 to January 2016.

The conservation areas are presented in three categories of flooded forest: 647,406 hectares; fish sanctuary: 23,544 hectares; community fishery: 147,906.03 hectares. In total, the 115 conservation areas have a stretch over a total size of 818,856.03 hectares.
