26-yr-old scientist’s 15 research articles sets record
Tran Quoc Quan, a scientist born in a poor district in Ha Tinh province, has had 15 ISI (information sciences institute) articles published, holding the record in Vietnam for the number of internationally published articles at his age.Starting his scientific research from the second year at university, Tran Quoc Quan, a fellow of the Laboratory of Materials and Advanced Structure at the Hanoi National University, has published 22 scientific articles and reports, including 15 ISI articles with the IF (impact factor) at over 2. This is an enviable figure for Vietnamese researchers as well as graduate students trained abroad. To achieve this accomplishment, Quan had to overcome a lot of difficulties. Quan said he began having great interest in research on composite material conducted by Professor Nguyen Dinh Duc when he attended a seminar introducing research works of the lecturers at the university. After that seminar, Quan contacted Duc and asked to team up with the professor to conduct research.
