Nurses, midwives urged to adhere to ethics and council laws

The Myanmar Nurse and Midwife Council has urged all nurses and midwives to adhere to ethics and council laws to improve the level of professionalism in the industry. MNMC President Daw Phyu Phyu said the council will be distributing three books – the MNMC Law, the Code of Ethics and Nursing-Midwifery Professional Conduct and Core Competencies – for all MNMC-registered nurses and midwives. “Nurses and midwives need to read and follow the guidelines contained in these books. The rules and regulations of the council law will cover all nurses and midwives,” she said. The council will distribute the three books to all those registered, from matrons to nurses and midwives, she added.
