Safe employment project for women launched

A project focusing on creating safe working environment and job opportunities for female migrant workers, as well as protecting women workers, has been launched in Yangon. The “Aung Myin Hmu Project: Industry Solution for Safe Employment” that was launched on March 19 in Yangon’s Hlaing Tharyar township will be implemented over 28 months. It will support initiatives such as providing professional training, awareness programs, legal consultation, job creation, safe work environment and protection for women workers. The collaborators of the project, which will be implemented in the Hlaing Tharyar and Shwe Pyi Thar townships, are the government, Care Myanmar Organisation, Pyoe Pin Program, Business Kind Myanmar, My Jobs and Legal Clinic Myanmar.
