South Korea eyes new investments

The Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and the Korea International Trade Association have announced a partnership to bring more South Korean investors to Cambodia. Last year trade between the countries reached $812 million. The Memorandum of Understanding signed on April 6 intends to boost that figure, particularly in sectors such as construction and agriculture. Lim Heng, the vice-president of CCC, said South Korean investors are increasingly attracted to Cambodia. “Our population of 15 million is still small, but we have peace and a lot of young labor, which makes them want to invest in our country,” he said. “Not only South Korea, but also other countries.
