Deputy PM greets US business council official
Deputy Prime Minister Phạm Bình Minh has suggested the US-based Business Council for International Understanding endorse the early ratification and implementation of the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement and help Việt Nam carry out the pact effectively. Minh, who is also Foreign Minister, met with Peter Tichansky, President of the BCIU in Hà Nội on October 20. The BCIU is an organisation that works to expand international trade and commerce. It has 200 member companies, including many Fortune 500 firms. After giving a brief on his organisation’s future plan, Tichansky proposed co-operation projects to promote Việt Nam as an investment destination, including co-organising market study trips in Việt Nam for US businesses and trade promotion activities during upcoming visits of Vietnamese leaders to the US.
