Vietnam fostering a cybersecurity ecosystem

Presently, Vietnam has mastered about 90% of the ecosystem of cybersecurity products serving Party and State agencies. It is also likely to be one among few countries that will master 100% of the ecosystem, the Minister of Information and Communications, Nguyen Manh Hung, has said.

Speaking at the Vietnam Information Security Day 2020 International Conference and Exhibition on 2 December, Minister Hung said that Vietnam must assert national sovereignty and prosperity in cyberspace, and everyone has the responsibility to protect that environment.

According to a press release, to ensure the highest level of safety for the country’s information technology system, products, and services, Vietnam has to have competent experts in this field. The President of the Vietnam Information Security Association (VNISA), Nguyen Thanh Hung, explained that cybersecurity with “Make in Vietnam” technologies is a key factor in national digital transformation.
